So I am thinking about taking this blogging thing pro. What does this mean? Well it means actually making a blog that has plenty of great content that people will find worthwhile to read and also generate some additional income. My definition of a pro vs. an amateur is that a pro makes money at it. If you read one of my previous posts I made the comment that, at least in digital photography, when it comes to the work done, its hard sometimes to distinguish between pros and really good amateurs. I have been doing a lot of research and the main type of blog I would like to write is a personal finance one.
Sure I would mix some other things into it to make it interesting, but that is what my main interests are. Just read my blogroll. Those sites are amazing and have some great information for people who really do need to learn more about money. The biggest asset that these blogs have are the stories of people and their debt. If you can learn from other people's mistakes you are definitely ahead of the game in this world.
The newest blog on my blogroll is the "I will teach you to be rich" one. Today's article is worth reading. I think everyone should check it out. The article everyone is talking about.
As for a personal update. Training has gone really well this week at our photography company. I had the privilege of being the main instructor for all three days of training. And you know what? I realized that I really do enjoy training the new hires. I really do just love the act of teaching and I found myself really getting into it yesterday. Today we are headed off to a conference up in Breckenridge. It promises to be a fun time. So until next time...
